FAQ

Common questions

If your question isn't here, ask us directly — we'd rather answer it than have you guess.

Courses

How long do I have access to a course?

Indefinitely. Access doesn't expire, and you can rewatch a course as often as you like — useful when the same topic comes round again a year later.

Can I watch on a phone or tablet?

Yes. Playback works in any modern browser on any device, and your position is saved as you go, so you can start on a laptop and finish on a phone.

Do I have to watch it in one sitting?

No. Progress is saved continuously. Close the tab whenever you like and pick up where you stopped.

Are the courses specific to Hong Kong?

Yes. They're written against the Hong Kong regime — the ordinances, codes, and the regulators' published expectations — rather than general international material with a local section added.

Assessments and certificates

What do I need to score to pass?

Seven out of ten. Each attempt draws ten questions at random from a larger bank, so a retake is a genuinely different paper rather than the same questions again.

What if I fail?

Retake it. There's no limit on attempts and no additional charge, and each attempt draws a fresh set of questions.

Why can't I open the assessment yet?

It unlocks once you've watched enough of the recording. That requirement is measured as actual elapsed playback, so skipping to the end won't unlock it. It exists so the hours on your certificate mean something if anyone examines them.

How does certificate verification work?

Every certificate carries a unique reference that resolves to a public page on this site showing the holder, the course, the CPT hours, and the date of issue. Anyone can check one at /verifywithout an account. A PDF can be edited; a reference on the issuer's own domain cannot.

Can I download my certificate?

Yes, as a PDF, from the verification page or your dashboard. Your full record — every certificate, totalled by year — is on the CPT record page and prints as a single document.

CPT hours

Will these hours count towards my professional requirements?

We state the CPT hours each course carries and record them on your certificate, but we can't guarantee any particular professional body will accept them towards its own requirements. Different bodies recognise different providers and apply their own rules. If the hours need to count for a specific requirement, check with that body first.

How are the hours calculated?

From the length of the seminar, rounded to the nearest quarter hour. A 62-minute recording carries one CPT hour; a two-hour recording carries two.

Payment

How much do courses cost?

It varies by course, and several are free with registration. The fee is shown on every course page before you enrol. Payment is one-off — there's no subscription.

Can I get a refund?

If you haven't started watching, yes — email us and we'll refund it. Once you've accessed the recording we generally can't, since the material has been delivered. If something genuinely isn't as described, tell us and we'll sort it out.

Can my company be invoiced instead?

Yes, for team arrangements. Use the team enquiry formand we'll invoice the organisation rather than asking people to pay by card.
